Nest Abandoned

Apparently the Mourning Dove couple that I mocked so roundly in my last post read that post and moved out in a huff. The nest looks the same this morning as it did the other evening and each morning since. And there's been no sign that they have tried to visit it at all. *sigh*

    Bummer. Maybe they decided to move in with mine, since they have plenty of bedrooms.

    Wouldn't matter if they did. My flue doesn't draw worth a damn, so I don't use the fireplace anyway. But I *think* they're setting up housekeeping in the pepper tree just over my back fence. They were furniture shopping on my deck roof over the weekend and flying in and out of the pepper tree.
